I thought you’d like to see the lovely result, above, that my customer, Andrea, shared on Ravelry. She knit my “Spice Route Gloves” design to a “T”, but in her own choice of colors. As a designer, I think it’s a very special thing, to see one of my own designs knit in the same yarn, but in an entirely different colorway. It’s a little like having my own, brand new baby handed to me, without having to go through pregnancy and labor. Of course, I LOVE it! Thanks so much for sharing, Andrea!
If you’d like to see the details on Andrea’s color choices, here’s a link to her project on Ravelry. And here are my original Spice Route Gloves, from last year:
Haven’t lost one yet! 🙂
Lovely…they are on my to do list, but as mittens instead. We are in Florida right now and knitting mitts seems wrong somehow.
You think so? That’s funny – I do a lot of my mitten / glove knitting in warm weather, for a couple of reasons: The small projects stay away from my lap, so I don’t overheat. Plus, they help me think of frosty, winter breezes, so at least my thoughts are cool. Hope you have a great visit in FL!
I love them! I really need to get my knittingskills to the next level. It would be a dream to make those mits. Thanks for shearing! Sandra
Those are gorgeous! Considering that I still haven’t figured out how to make a glove suitable for a human to wear (maybe a Muppet…), let alone two gloves, I think these are incredible!!!
